Gaga (they/them) describes their experience working with different medical professionals as they navigate the medical system. They live with a titanium heart valve, visit the doctor every four to six weeks, and work with a number of medical professionals at each visit. They discuss advocating for themself so that medical professionals use their correct pronouns. They also describe what an average visit to the doctor is like for them and how the relationships with each person they come into contact with during a visit differ.
